Creative Intelligence Company builds physical, AI-native creative instruments: objects that help people create, remember, and stay inside life instead of escaping into screens.
Every era has had tools that changed what people could make. The chisel. The brush. The camera. AI is the next major creative medium, but today it mostly lives in the wrong form: inside screens, prompts, feeds, and general-purpose software.
We think there are two futures on the table. In the default one, you prompt and the machine makes. The human gradually leaves the loop. In the future we want, you make and the machine amplifies. The person stays present, develops a point of view, and remains the author.
Every consumer AI product is a vote for one of those futures. We started Creative Intelligence Company to vote for the second.
Our belief is simple. AI should not replace human creativity or pull people into another attention loop. It should disappear into well-crafted objects that make people feel more capable, more present, and more connected to the moments they are already living.
A creative instrument should not be a worse smartphone. It should be more like a brush: singular, embodied, and self-evidently useful. Something you pick up, use, and put down. A tool that serves a moment and then lets you go.
We use six laws to decide whether an idea belongs on our bench. It must be singular, embodied, amplifying rather than authoring, ageless, quiet, and capable of becoming a ritual. These laws define our North Star more than any individual product.
Obscura is our first instrument: a camera for children that turns what they see into stories only they could tell. The child does not talk to an AI or prompt a chatbot. They look at the world and collect moments. Later, those moments can become stories, books, and worlds. The creative act begins with the child’s attention, not the model.
Children have the most imagination to lose and the most to gain. Almost everything built for them optimizes consumption. We want technology that feels magical and useful without building a feed, an unsafe conversational relationship, or one more reason to look away from life.
Obscura’s loop is simple: capture, build, tell, keep. The child made the story. The object made the child able.
Obscura is not the whole company. It is the first proof of a family of instruments dedicated to different forms of making: tell, sing, draw, build, move. Each will follow the same laws.
Our North Star is to build the defining family of physical, AI-native creative instruments. Objects that help people make, remember, and hand life forward. To make AI feel less like a machine that captures attention and more like a tool that returns people to life.
One instrument at a time. Craft over scale. The human stays the author.
